Full Upper Body Home Workout | Tone + Strength

Strength training is THE thing that is going to change your body. Talking total toning and strength that does not add up to look like the hulk. Instead, this is an essential part of any training program that us ladies should incorporate into our regular routine.

That being said, we still need to figure out a way to accomplish this without spending hours in a gym or trying to figure out where to start.

Today’s workout is perfect for the home or gym and was created to be done in a small space. Just need you, weights, and a comfortable spot on the floor. This full upper body home workout will leave your arms shaking!

Strength training, AKA resistance training, is such an essential part of any fitness routine, especially for our arms and upper body. Despite the rumors, strength training is not going to give us huge, oversized, bulging muscles. What we do get is toned, strong, and sculpted muscles.

The Equipment

There is zero need for all the fancy workout gear. This workout takes weights and a comfortable spot on the floor only.

For your weights, shop around for discounted prices. Facebook marketplace and Craigslist are two really good options to find weights that are perfect for your space. I am pretty sure that I don’t have anything that matches but it was all on the cheap and works beautifully.

The Amazon Link for the weights are the ones that I do like and recommend the most for those that have smaller hands. Sometimes the dumbbells are so hard to hold with the thicker middle piece and these completely solve that problem.

The Workout

For this workout, we will have a standing and floor series. Each move is completed for 10 reps and the series are repeated twice. Rest when you need to and adjust your weights to keep a good form of the move.

The Moves

  • Bicep curl to Arnold overhead press
  • Lateral bicep curl to Overhead press
  • Lateral raise to Front punch
  • Single weight Bicep curl – Overhead press – Tricep pressdown
  • Tricep dips
  • Single weight chest press
  • Single weight pull over
  • Chest Fly – Tricep press

This workout has a burnout! Diamond push ups…and these are the VIP players for this workout. Do as many as you can!
